What’s concerning me is: Who’s discipling you? Who’s teaching you the Bible? Who’s telling you that you have to submit to someone before you can lead anyone?

It scares me there’s all this zeal without restraint.

If you missed it, things went nuclear in the comments on IG this weekend. People were blocked, whole threads deleted, it was a mess. I generally try to avoid the comments lately but it was bad so I stepped and removed some people.

It honestly made me question some things because I feel pretty free to post whatever I’m reading here and I don’t feel a sense of responsibility per se but maybe I should?

I mean…I’m not trying to really teach or enrage anyone. This account is me working through things I read and come across with my words and my drawings; I’m not *intentionally* discipling anyone.

I’m not a pastor or a theologian and I never claim to be. I’m just reading my Bible and trying to discern what’s right and wrong just like everyone else.

It’s a lot easier in the world of code and computers because I can create reproducible and reliable tests of just about any theory. Here? It’s a mess.

Authorities and denominations and scholars and influencers and celebrities all coming out the gate with wildly different angles; I’m not quite sure how the common lay person is supposed to navigate all of this?

After all, who influences the influencers?
