Of course I’m getting the “don’t cause division

Of course I’m getting the “don’t cause division, show honor where it’s due” comments as if we’re lemmings who go along with everything not allowed to question the uncomfortable. I learned a long time ago to use my voice and walked away from places that discourage it.

I’ve had a few quotes from Kristina in my ideas folder (including my favorite about crypto) but I came across this response to someone on twitter and I found it to be pretty relevant to the times we find ourselves in. We all have platforms and ideas that we’re passionate about. I think it’s important that we acknowledge truth whenever it’s being spoken; even when it’s painful to hear. Just as we want to be heard when we speak the truth to others. After all; there is nothing that is concealed that won’t be revealed right?

I’ve done a few hundred of these things now and every single time I hit the publish button I experience a wave of overwhelming doubt and imposter syndrome. I’m never like “man, this is great I nailed it! *air horns blast*” It’s usually more like “I did the best I could, I sure hope I don’t offend the person I drew” and sometimes it’s even “this is garbage and I’m garbage.” I don’t say this to fish out compliments, I say this because in line with this quote; these drawings are my voice. Prayerfully, it’s what I’m putting out there and I would walk away from places that discourage it. I think a lot of people can attest that using your voice isn’t easy, it isn’t always met with the most support, but speaking about truth is something we should all get used to.

Side note: That other favorite tweet I have saved is “Crypto is essential oils for men.” I’ve got to figure out a way to work that into the feed somewhere. 🤔😅
