In full transparency, I’m not a *huge* Adventure Time fan. At first I really liked it at first but the show became super weird at a point and I dropped out. This quote has always stuck with me though. I know - this is generally a faith-based account but every now and then I make a sharp turn in a direction you might not be expecting. 😅

I’m in learning phase of my art journey here on IG. I’ve developed what I feel like is the Sketchy Sermons style but I’m practicing new things. It’s really discouraging though because there are definitely those days where what is in my mind doesn’t come through on the page. But every terrible sketch leads me to the one that might be sorta good. We’ll see how many of those terrible ones I need to get through. To all my friends going through the same thing; keep going.

I’m planning on taking a two week break after this week. I’ll finish all of the outstanding commissions but the store will be down and I’ll be totally off this app in that time. Hopefully I’ve gotten through all of the sketches that suck and return with the ones that are sorta good.
